Shalom. This video is about peace prayers. In Jewish tradition, peace plays a huge role in our daily prayers especially at the end of our three-times a day daily amida where we offer our prayers for peace, our 19th prayer out of the 19. In the morning, for traditional prayer is Sim Shalom and in the afternoon and evening, Minhamariat, it is Shalom Raf.
Also, one of our most common prayers is the Kadas which always ends with a prayer for peace. So I am going to sing all three; some standard tunes and then I will put the words here so that in my blog for this date February 5, 2008, so that you can learn the prayers if you do not know them already.
First of all, I will say Shalom; it means the God grants of peace from the heavens, grants peace to us and to all of Israel.
[Singing]
There is various tunes to that, very beautiful tunes but those are the words.
[Stating the prayer]
