Shalov Rav and adonia Oz Peace Prayer 2
Shalom!
This is Peace video Prayer 2. The end of the minha afternoon and maariv amida, evening that we do all year round as the last of the 19 blessings who are on Shabbat and how days should be blessed with the seven blessings of the Shalom rav which means in English, “grant through a lasting peace to your people Israel and all who dwell on earth.” And so let me just sing one of the more popular versions and I will have the text transliterated below.
(Singing foreign English)
Now you noticed that we all fit in the words there the (foreign English), I think it is too hard to fit in, you could try it like this.
(Singing)
But when they wrote that music video and fit those words in.
(Foreign English)
May God who bless us, the people of Israel with peace. Now the last line of Psalm 29 also is a blessing for Adonai Oz (foreign English) may God bless us with strength and may God bless us with peace. This is the Psalm that is associated with the Shabbat song. (foreign language) adds a very nice tune to that.
(Singing foreign language)
May God bless us with strength and may God bless us with peace. Besides this two, my other video (foreign language) there is a lot and lot of Jewish prayers for peace. In fact there is something called the small tract for the Talmud, it is all tract are devoted with the beautiful verses about peace.
And there is a great statement in (foreign language) ethics to the fathers that says, that you should be like the disciples of Aaron (foreign language). You should love peace and pursue peace. And it says all the other mitzvah you do not have to run after them. You just do them when they come but peace you have to pursue.
And so what are the traditions has, it is hard, such a beautiful desire for Shalom.
Shalom!
