Google Calendar provides a great way to keep track of your day, birthdays, anniversaries, appointments and a lot more. Another cool feature of Google Calendar is that you can share your calendar with others.
Now you see here I have my family’s calendar where we are list different activities so that we can look and see who has a doctor’s appointment, when grandma as at work and so on. So to share this calendar, you simply click on Settings. You’ll see another set of options. Click on Calendars. Now, here's the list of my calendars. We’ll click on Share This Calendar.
Now you can see here that when you click Share This Calendar with others by default, it checks Make This Calendar Public. Now if you make your calendar public, its content will be visible to people in Google searches. Now in this case, it’s only showing free and busy times of hiding the details. If you don’t want that, uncheck it and you can share this calendar with everyone in your domain which is how my family does it and they can see all events or only see three things.
Another option is to list specific people. So, if I want to put in the email address of close friends, I can put that in here and then I can also control what they can do within the calendar. So for example, I can allow them to make changes and manage sharing or to just make changes to events to just be able to see all events or just to see only the free and busy times.
So, this is a great way to be able to share your Google Calendar with friends, family or everyone if that’s what you decide. And that’s all there is to it.
