Am I obligated to select a gift from the bridal couple’s wedding registry?

A registry can be very, very helpful to you when you do need to select a gift because you’re certain of getting something that the couple wants and needs.

You’ll also know how many products they already have, what colors they need, the size of different linens if that’s the case. So it really can help you. However, if you are extremely close to the couple and you know something that would be special to them that would make them think of you when they saw it. If it’s not on the registry, it’s perfectly alright to give that gift.

Be sincere. Give what feels right and don’t limit yourself just two gifts on the registry.
