Amy: Hi I'm Amy from Clifton Park, New York. I was in a car accident; my back feels okay, but my friends and family think that I should go to the doctor, should I?

Daveed Frazier: Amy, car accidents are very, very common and so we see hundreds of thousands if not millions of people a year they have these accidents. I would truly state that if you don't have any symptoms, you are probably safe not to go to the doctor. It's uncommon that you would have no symptoms and have something serious to be concerned about, especially through that mechanism of injury. However if you have symptoms which persists past several days or past a week or so I think its very reasonable to see either your medical doctor and your medical doctor would give you a base line evaluation to determine if its necessary to see an expert.
