Hi! This is Dr. Philip Agrios from LifeOneLaw.com. Here is another question.
I am having shoulder pain that is not going away with therapy. Anything that you can suggests that I can do.
Well, if you are having therapy from a cryopractor or a physical therapist and it is not going away. Then a few things you need to consider.
One, the area that they are working on may not be the problem. A lot of times wherever the pain is usually is not the cause. It is just the effect. So if you are having, let us say pain on top of the shoulder here. There is definitely a muscular imbalance going on. So the muscle areas that they are working on may not be the muscles that are problematic. There may other be problems like the clots or maybe another area called the serratus anterior and other muscles that maybe the cause of the shoulder pain. Also, triceps, biceps can be painful causing the pain in the shoulder.
So, you have to have a really good evaluation for somebody. Now, if they did a great job and evaluating and it is not going away then maybe there is tear going on. I am suggesting MRI or if there is something else it could be something going on with the bone so that an MRI would pick it up and if they want to continue with other different test like a CAT scan. But I would definitely not just a loudest to continue more than two weeks therapy if nothing is happening.
I do a particular technique called “active release technique.” You can look that upon the internet if you are not in my area and just find a practitioner that goes in and actually breaks something huge in the muscles. So that is another technique that I have used for my shoulder pains.
I hope that is helpful. If you have any question, you can always email me at Dr.A@LifeOneLaw.com and I will be happy to help and guide you. Have a great morning.
