Shoulder Strengthening Exercises

We are going to work on some strengthening exercises now for that shoulder and the first one we are going to do is the arm out of way from the body and we are going to lift that hand straight up against resistance, and all the way through the whole range of motion and we want to work that, we want to do about 15 or 20 of these against resistance until muscle failure, the athlete finds that they don't have the strengthen to lift their arm up.

The next one we are going to do is with the arm pinned at the side and we are going to just turn that arm straight out, again against resistance, doing external rotation, another ten or twelve of those or fifteen of those until muscle fatigue and we are going to work our way pulling back in, internal rotation, again till muscle failure.

And the final strengthening exercise we are going to do is with the thumb planted and face down towards the floor and we are going to lift that arm straight up in an angle of about 45 degrees to the body and all of these exercises are really effective in helping strengthening that shoulder for rotative cuff type problems.
