Hi guys, I’m on the beach for the Video Diary today, and unbelievably the weather is actually this spectacular and are evident; beat it we’re dying for sunshine, it’s not even cold at all. I brought a bike with me, full of oysters and Chablis wine and I’m going to show you how to open them. Boy, oh wait, just over there, those are the famous Taars that you could see on all the YouTube videos and not only YouTube videos, in the name of love by YouTube.
Right, oysters today, (--) just pop it inside, a little tea towel like that. Two reasons for that, it just protects your hand so as like when you’re putting all that force down on it, you’re not going to scrape into your hand, you’re going to go into the tea towel instead if you do happen to mess. Second reason is, sore sharp (--), you don’t really want to be pushing that in your hand. So lay it flat on the ground and you’re just sort of looking for tiny little gap, force the knife in there, sometimes like this one, they’re a little bit tricky to open, but you’ll have actually figured out yourself, you could always get your fish monger to do it for you as well. I’ll just run the knife all the way around the outside and inside you’ve got a lovely little oyster. So just loosen them up with your knife, there’s a little attachment, I just want to make sure it’s free, alright. Only one thing that want to do is I’ll add a little bit of lemon cause I hate all big, fussy, fancy oysters dishes, I really don’t think they need, anything added to them especially when you’re out of the sea like this, so just a little bit of salt, straight in the mouth. Absolutely delicious, you’re going to enjoy the rest with that glass of Chablis, lovely lemon juice. Oysters aren’t for everybody but I actually really adore them, just got really fresh flavor. That’s it for today; see you next time on the Video Diary with James.
