Shalom.
This video is to teach you about the Yigdal prayer and to sing it. It is the final prayer we do on Friday night and evening Holidays. It is a medieval poem, summary of mimonities 13th Principles of faith. And we believe written by man named Daniel BenJudah 14th century Italian poet.
So first, get a copy of a Friday night prayer book, hopefully, it has the Yigdal in it. And I will sing it for you. And then I will explain it. Why the important of this prayer. Here is a one tune of the few tunes to it, here is the main one. (Foreign language). Repeat that. (Foreign language).
Now, I have a video on the third, that what Jews believed based the 13th Principles of Faith. The thing is called what Jews Believed. But this poem is the summary of mimonities from 1135 to 1204, his 13th Principles of Faith. They are God as eternal, God as One, God has no body, God created the Universe and time, God alone is too be worshipped, and then the next ones are about revelation. Six, God revealed the divine truth the prophets; seven, Moses was the greatest prophet; eight, The Torah is true; nine, the Torah is immutable; ten, about the nature of God and the after life. God knows our thoughts and future. God rewards those who obey the divine well and punishes those who transgress in the next world. Twelve, A Messiah will come, and thirteen God grants eternal life. That is the importance of the Yigdal prayer that concludes our services.
