Sing and Sweat Workout

Host: Hollywood and the sunset strip are known world wide for their night life. Now there is a new hot spot for song and dance and no VIP line out five, no bar inside either, unless you count to juice for. Welcome to Cardioke where Carioke and fitness though hand in hand. It’s the brain child that Belly Blanks junior and his wife Sharon a couple who have spend years on stage and on the fitness Squat. Belly: Well, we have both been performing professionally for over will say 15 years and so, on Broadway. We wanted to find a way to make fitness fun, people love to go to a dance clubs and go out you know dancing, they love to you know sing in car so we’re like how can we combine all those things that people like and make it an actual workout. Sharon: It’s not like exercise, its fun. If you don’t like to go to gym, if you don’t have time, its fun. Host: Each class begins with stretching abs and a few warm up steps. Then it’s show time. Sharon: Every one has a dancer or singer inside and this is a good form to let that entertainer out. Female Speaker: Miss Dezarae used to be tremendously shy. Whenever the dance circle would come in she would be like, oh! Don’t take me in, don’t take me in, but now she is the show off. Host: You can make song request, but unlike typical Cardioke nobody is singled out, everyone sings together. Female Speaker: Belly likes to make you try to do the impossible, of course, you know once in a while you lose your footing and you just kind of have to balance back and try it again. Host: You can find classes offering disco, country even 80’s Cardioke. Belly: They come with the arm bands and the leg warmers and the head bands. Host: If you prefer to sweat and sing in the privacy of your own home, there is a Cardioke DVD. Belly: So many people are left out of fitness and so I wanted something that literally went you know come in. Female Speaker: We have like club like atmosphere that colored lights, the dance music on, but you don’t have all those course people trying to hit on it and so it’s make it a little dance.
