Vince: Hey guys, it’s Vince DelMonte from YourSixPackQuest.com and you will not believe who I’m here with right now. You might recognize her from multiple covers.
Diane: Wow, who is that?
Vince: Her name is Diane—how do I say your last name?
Diane: Chaloux.
Vince: Chaloux. Tell our US customers where you are from.
Diane: I am from San Antonio, Texas, the third fattest city in the country.
Vince: Yes, and you know what guys? That is the funniest thing because as you are looking right here, you will probably be the first fattest city in the country if you were to leave the country.
Diane: Well, you know, we got a really big problem down there. So what I am trying to do with my shows and stuff down there is help fight obesity and get people moving and get them in shape. This is my job, getting up here and being able to be a fitness role model to have a whole six pack, to inspire them.
Vince: You are and you are an inspiration, and using your physique is a fantastic platform in inspiring the people. I have two quick questions for you Diane. What did you find as the biggest obstacle in achieving your own six-pack?
Diane: The biggest obstacle is procrastination. It was about three years before that I said that I want to compete, I want to compete and then finally one day I was like, “What am I waiting for?” When I finally did it and when I buckled down on my nutrition, I worked really hard on my training and saw what I could achieve with my body, I have not turned back ever since.
Vince: How long do you think it would take for somebody who is watching this at home who is contemplating, getting into their best physique and—how long do think it would probably take somebody who decides to take action?
Diane: I mean, depending on the shape you are on, depending on the weight that you have to lose. If it is 30 to 40 pounds, sign up for a show. Within 12 to 13 weeks, you can completely transform your body. I lost 40 pounds in my very first competition.
Vince: Wow!
Diane: Yes, and if you have 50 to 100 pounds, start now. Just get yourself to a healthy place and then see what you can do with your body. And then kick it up a notch.
Vince: I think that is really important. Thinking about it does not get you results. Diane did not think about it. Was it worth it?
Diane: Oh, it has changed my life literally.
Vince: Maybe one thing, how has it changed your life, give us an example.
Diane: I am healthier, I am more fit, and I am able to work in the industry that I absolutely love, and help other people to be more fit and live a healthy lifestyle as well.
Vince: So this is not just about the exterior, this is about the interior too, and what goes in your body has to come out, so put good stuff in and good stuff comes out. So, thanks a lot Diane. Wish you the best of luck this weekend. I sure will see you again.
