Hey guys, my name is Keir Johnson with Catalyst Skateboards 48 blocks in Focus Magazine. Today, I’m going to show you the fundamentals of skate boarding.
We’re going to show everything from a basic stance, pushing, turning and a few basic tricks. Some of the safety tips for today are if you are beginner or a younger kid let’s say 13 and under you try and want to wear a helmet when you’re first beginning as you get more comfortable it’s your choice, but I would highly recommend using a helmet at the beginning.
Some of the steps we’re also going to get into requires that you have like a nicely foot together skate board as well, so make sure your board is intact and in good condition.
A little bit about myself, before we begin again, my name is Keir Johnson, run Catalyst Skateboards at the Washington, DC, also do a 48 blocks which is a skateboarding website and also I’m a senior writer for Focus Magazine which is an East Coast skateboard magazine.
Again, today I’m going to be showing you the fundamentals of skateboarding. Let’s get out here and do some tricks.
