Harry Barrett: We are at Castle Mountain, it is pretty unusual day, there is no wind and it is really sunny. It is a good day though, I am not complaining.
Andrew Rusynyk: Castle is in the South-West corner of Alberta. It is right on the continental divide. It is a quick little joint from the prairies right into the mountains and all of a sudden you are at the resort. The scenery is absolutely spectacular. When you get up top you can see straight out in the prairies see all the windmills up by Pincher Creek. You look over the back side right at the continental divide where you can look so down into the states and into Wellington. There is just limitless amount of scenery.
Harry Barrett: I would describe the views from the North peak of Castle mountain is simply fabulous, yeah simply fabulous. Castle is a lot smaller than a lot of resorts I have been to. It has got some of the raddest most continuous fall line skiing I think I have ever skied off of a chairlift. That's a huge factor that ski can be here. At Castle Mountain small town feel for sure, make that a Southern Alberta redneck small town for sure. There is a lots of people like together done by burning fossil fuels and drinking rye, that's the way we do it.
Andrew Rusynyk: Well there is certain flair to it. It is not for everybody, but the people that love it, swear by it. It is their favorite mountain. It is kind of a little bit of secret, people will share so much about it, though they will bring certain friends here but they won't tell the world. So it doesn't have big hype a lot of the resorts do out in that way or this way but it sure has all the terrain to play on that you could ever look for.
Rob Miller: Small enough mountain that you can literally know everybody. So, it is kind of like skiing on the mountain with you and your buddies and especially these days later in the spring you can get just me and my buddies at whole mountain or so kind of just a big party that way.
Harry Barrett: Reason that I choose to live and spend my winter at the Castle Mountain is because not many other people do. It is not too crowded. I think that the 170 kilometer hour wind scare away your average skier, but you are prepared to put your hood up for the chair ride you get some fabulous skiing.
Rob Miller: Skied all over the world over the last 25 years and ended up skiing here for the last 23 of them. So something is here that keeps bringing me back I don't know if it is the snow or the people that has been great.
