Slide Card Change: Learn it
This effect is very simple, but like always…it requires practice. Use black and red cards...the color contrast makes the change look better. Now here is the first move…show your hand empty, very easy…obviously. But while you show your hand empty…turn the hand with the deck over while pushing the top card up with your thumb.
Push the top card up about half inch…but make sure the second card can never be seen as the top card will not be fully covering the card anymore. Just use cover like I did…using my fingers as well as my whole hand.
Now here is the next move…using your bottom palm put pressure on the exposed second card. Now put it all the way back to where just the top of the card is resting on the top of the deck.
Now pushing the back of your palm down, thus making the card rise above the top card of the deck. Push the card forward…all the way until it becomes square with the deck.
Finally, square up the cards with your thumb and fingers while moving your fingers away, to make the effect look very nice.
Now here is the run-through of all the moves. Push card, slide rise above deck, push forward. Square and flourish pull away. This effect was very hard at first but of course after a little practice soon master this effect. Remember practice, practice…I can never say it enough.
