Dr. Bob Hoffman: Thank you so much for having us.
Ivy Hartman: Absolutely. Okay, what are some of the top reasons why healthier employees mean a healthier business?
Dr. Jason Deitch: I think every business owner knows intimately that the ability for their business to perform at its best has everything to do with the ability for their people to perform at its best. And keeping people healthy and keeping people well, really is one of the key strategies to making sure that your business is performing at its peak and profiting at its best.
Ivy Hartman: That seems self-explanatory.
Dr. Bob Hoffman: It is. And in fact, everybody understands on a very intuitive level, that when people are feeling well they function better. They’re happier, they’re more productive. That’s true for you and for us and for everyone and the viewers.
Ivy Hartman: So most small businesses at this point are struggling to provide health care to their employees. So, how could we view this as an investment rather than an expense?
Dr. Jason Deitch: That’s exactly what it is. It’s really an understanding that it’s our opportunity as business leaders, as business owners to really lead our employees to choose better health for better living. And create programs and strategies and we help business owners do that to really figure out what they can do that often times very cost effective that has tremendous return on investment to help inspire and incentives their people to be their best.
Dr. Bob Hoffman: And fortunately Ivy, the hottest trend in business today is recognizing that healthcare system is so expensive, so bloated and so ineffective that small business owners and businesses in general are now leading the charge to taking the responsibility and taking this process into their own hands. And we think that’s terrific because it’s part of a movement that sweeping all country called Consumer Driven Healthcare.
Ivy Hartman: The obvious reasons, you’re going to provide some wellness programs for your employees, you’re going to see some benefit or your employees are going to definitely benefit, therefore you’re going to benefit. Are there any other benefits to offering a wellness program in the small business arena or maybe a specific example you’d like to give us?
Dr. Bob Hoffman: Well, there’s an enormous, endless ray of benefits. You know, not only does it reduce the cost. Our healthcare courses bankrupting small businesses right now. So this is a terrific strategy or terrific plan to actually make the company more physically sound. But in addition to that, it’s also doing the right thing. It’s helping your employees; healthy employees as we said it earlier are going to be more productive employees. They get along better, they function better, they’re happier. There are less absentees and things in that nature. So it really helps on a variety of levels depending on how much of wellness program you want to institute.
Ivy Hartman: Thank you gentlemen. If you’d like more information about how you can begin a wellness program in your business or just how great resources, how can we put our viewers in touch with you?
