Alex Fees: I'm Alex Fees on Small Business Television. We are coming to you from Cleveland Ohio at the 2008 COSE Small Business Conference. Diane: Yes.
Alex Fees: What is that?
Diane: It is a business development firm helping small business owners and sales people really figure out what's getting in their way and how to get it out of their way so they can be successful.
Alex Fees: Oh yeah, so are you somebody that a small business owner would contract initially or after they’ve had some difficulties?
Diane: That’s a great question and it’s either it’s both. I have some clients who they decided to go into business and I’ve helped them ramp their business all the way up. I have other clients who a couple of years into it realized things weren’t really working the way they wanted them too and so they contracted with me, we could stop and take a look at what’s going on and create better systems and strategies so that they could work less in their business, more on their business and enjoy it a lot more.
I'm a COSE member I have been for a couple of years. I'm also a Mindspring editor so I contribute articles about sales and marketing relationship building and handle discussion boards for when people come and have a question, I help them figure things out. I am also a speaker here at the conference doing two workshops for them. And then a home-base network so I got a lot of opportunity to meet other home based business owners.
Being able to hear Michael Simon on W. Fields was phenomenal for me because they believe in a lot of the same things as I do and it’s very inspiring to see people who have actually done things well.
I'm also speaking. I did a workshop yesterday and I'm doing one today gives me the opportunity to get my expertise out in front of people. They could see how I operate, see how I think, get to know me better. I can continue to build my newsletter list, my contact list through doing this so it helps me with building my contact base, networking, meeting other business owners who are having similar challenges or not so. It’s great for building business.
