Alex Fees: I'm Alex Fees on sbtv.com come with you from Denver, Colorado side of the Michael Gerber Conference entitled exploring the E-Myth. Now one of the Conferences attendee is here is Elise Howes. She is the owner of Howes Business out of Denver. She is local. Elise, tell me about your business, how goes it, and what brought you here to the Michael Gerber Conference?
Elise Howes: Thank you. Howe’s business is a casual control of scenes. We work with small, a minimum of business that’s anywhere between 5 and a hundred and fifteen employees. What we do is, diagnose and fix issues dealing with casual. For some owners, is the raising the right take of financing or I could be dealing with all the casual trends that come along with growth. Often times, we’ve run an instant diagnostic on business and find and fix casual problems that are keeping the owners awake at night.
Alex Fees: So they are Administrative issues basically?
Elise Howes: Well, it runs the gaming sales, marketing, operation, leadership and communication. They all impact the end results of purely asking in any of those areas as bad casual.
Alex Fees: Alright! And how long has Howes Business been a company and where did you come from? Why did you do before this?
Elise Howes: We’ve been in the business for 2 ½ years and before my formal background is in strategy, finance, and financial operation so I deal with I lean on my accounting and MBA and finding a true strategy in some of the work I've done and text area.
Alex Fees: So definitely, Entrepreneurial effort of your own?
Elise Howes: Oh yes!
Alex Fees: And you are telling me that you sort of try to instill some of Michael Gerber’s Philosophies and concepts in your clients. How so?
Elise Howes: Michael has been a huge inspiration for me and it really helps me organize and help that finds me more effective. In my welcome package with my new clients, I would give them a copy of the E-Myth and part of our first year business plan is going through and looking at the people process within the system and in entering the business. Michael spends a phenomenal tool for me.
Alex Fees: Alright! His work is certainly inspirational; it’s motivational but is…
Elise Howes: Practical as well…
Alex Fees: And practically, he says across the board. He says it doesn’t matter if you know anything about eventually you’re trying to get in to because he is selling a business system as selling system.
Elise Howes: I would think.
Alex Fees: Is that something real between corporate with your clients and so much?
Elise Howes: Oh it pulley, I've gone into clients where I know nothing about the business. A great example is a retailer of class stage socks of big great minors and for them, they had the selling system down but it was on the back office of this putting in place a lifting system where there are tracking all the time to choose and financial aspects and moving their clients through the system in a way that honors the client, educate them and then get some of the right lifting deal. So it was asking questions but that help them find the piece of their system that won’t working and we work straight and got effects so it shorten the round of time and prove their clients’ satisfaction and improve their process.
Alex Fees: So definite improvements!
Elise Howes: Oh yes!
Alex Fees: There it is and it’s a mind set I mean that you find people a resistance to that in some of Gerber’s Philosophies and his practices and…
Elise Howes: Yes! I have a lot of Entrepreneurs instead they don’t really want a, they don’t want to bring in the rest of their chin. They feel like it’s intending on there their role of figure.
Alex Fees: On their expertise.
Elise Howes: On their expertise! And that they are going to be needing so we start small men when say they see the impact of having a system and having people form empowered in. who know where they’re going. It’s a life colt for them and it makes much easier to work with the rest of the business.
