Ivy Hartman: SEMA show 2007 here on Las Vegas is being covered by sbtv.com. And entirely you can look for all our stories all over our website. Today we have a spotlight interview with James Swinkin of Simple Energy Solutions out of New York.
James, what is simple energy solution?
James Swinkin: Well simple energy is the alternative energy company, we’re also a performance company so we have products for example fuel formula C is our precision additive. Which is really developed as the performance fuel additive but through our testing we found out that is actually a mileage boosting fuel additive. And what we like to say is it makes your gas work better with your car, with your engine as I suppose to making your engine work better with your gas. So we’re getting anywhere from a 15 to 30% increase in mileage per gallon which is phenomenal. And we are actually dyne tested it on a super float dyno proving our results.
Ivy Hartman: What is a super float dyno?
James Swinkin: It’s a big dyno that you stick your engine and leaves all the out gases and temperature.
Ivy Hartman: Yes, I guess you would know that if you come to SEMA every year. I would imagine as a consumer I’m really relieved and glad to somebody like Simple Energy Solution is out there looking for these alternative fuel solution really relieved. But for you starting this new company and that was been in the work for couple of years but you guys really just started in January with marketing the product.
And I know you having some challenges with marketing.
James Swinkin: With in a small business starting up. Getting the your name out there is the biggest thing so the SEMA Show is unbelievable event kind of beg you’re company out and get people to know who you who are. But we’re going to class rate some other things that we’re doing to get out there, we have sales people who go out there into the field and then are getting new retailers to come on, we’re growing it about 30 new stores every week coming on.
And we’re starting to get to take notice with in the national change but that’s what really we’re doing here at SEMA. And trying to get our name out but as a small business, trying to decide it for a dream company or a performance company it’s kind of the universal products. So that’s one of our challenges.
Ivy Hartman: Who are you marketing? You’re marketing yourself to other small businesses and put some of this additive in there please. Or also the average consumer what are you?
James Swinkin: Both, one of the places that we’re going are to any gas station, convenient store. Anybody who has fuel additives on their shelves are great consumers but like you said. Commercial companies who are pleased to, they’re fantastic and also Government entities like townships that have police vehicles, ambulance, highway patrols we do programs with them or we just put the additive directly to their fuel tanks. So they get it whether or not.
Ivy Hartman: That’s a great idea and let’s talks about hybrid versus a fuel additive energy savings.
James Swinkin: We have another product called the MV system, which is a retro fret. It’s a pari of hydrogen generator so it’s and actual devise that you install into any car and turns into a hybrid. And makes hydrogen on demand that ports right into your engine and you actually turn your car into hybrid and it’s an amazing product it’s so sounds to good to be true but the emissions that cars that have our MV system are cut up to 70%.
And we have government dyno tested results that are on file for anybody likes to see them. I think that’s a way for the future too.
Ivy Hartman: And you talk about this is necessarily affect performance?
James Swinkin: As a matter of fact to get performance ooze from our products with our fuel additive formula C, people notice a broader power spectrum when they step on the gas pedal. Their car actually goes there’s no lead time.
Ivy Hartman: What’s the future for Simple Energy Solution and also just any kind renewable energy and alternative fuel?
James Swinkin: Alternative energy is hot right now, it’s a big buzz and not only the in the car world but everywhere. The government corporations and everybody’s kind of getting on the groove trail, so we’re position perfectly to kind of take advantage and get our product in to the market place on that green buzz.
Hybrid technology in cars is the definitely the way the future. But it doesn’t address one big problem. There are 250 million cars on the road that don’t have hybrid technology so what do you do if those cars.
Ivy Hartman: But what are you talking about is I can actually make a mini van into a hybrid.
James Swinkin: That’s right. With our MV system and it’s a lot cheaper than buying than a hybrid too.
Ivy Hartman: With the alternative fuels, is it really an industry for small businesses or using larger it seems that there are a lot of smaller entities trying to put the products out there?
James Swinkin: So many companies trying to get it out but I think with the confidence that’s going on right now with the government to trying to get companies on to the green band wagon. There is definitely a public awareness that was there about ten years ago or five years ago, that was really starting. Os people are actually seeking alternative energy and ways to conserve money, conserve resources and that’s we’re all about.
Ivy Hartman: James, thank you so much.
James Swinkin: Thank you very much.
Ivy Hartman: Very informative, keep it right here for our complete coverage of SEMA Show 2007 in Las Vegas.
