Lisa Saint Clair is the owner of Tail Bangers Incorporated. Lisa I’m seeing─are these doggie deserts here or what?
Lisa Saint Clair : Yes they are dog treats.
Alex Fees: Really?
Lisa Saint Clair : Yes.
Alex Fees: Made out of what?
Lisa Saint Clair: It is all human grade ingredients basically you could eat one of these dog treats.
Alex Fees: Oh really?
Lisa Saint Clair : Yeah.
Alex Fees: So for dogs or people?
Lisa Saint Clair : Well not really. The quality is human grade ingredients that you would, it is a little dry for you.
Alex Fees: My dog is going to like it better than I do.
Lisa Saint Clair : Yes.
Alex Fees: Okay, so where this ideas come from?
Lisa Saint Clair : Well, I have a degree on culinary arts and I grew up making chocolate and kind of the two, kind of got married along the way and started making dog treats.
Alex Fees: Are there special ingredients that blending themselves well to dog treats?
Lisa Saint Clair : Yeah, well peanut butter is pretty much key for anything. But anything, just like you and I, dogs need all natural products so, whole wheat flour, whole roll of oats.
Alex Fees: So healthy as well?
Lisa Saint Clair : Healthy. It is all─everything is healthy. It looks a little decadent but it is all healthy.
Alex Fees: Lisa give me a tour here. Show me what we are looking at right in front us.
Lisa Saint Clair : Well right here, of course we are concentrating on our summer line so we have a lot of summery stuff for the holidays coming up, but basically anything here this we’ve got the smiley faces, anchors, dog houses, we got martini glasses for dogs, we have all different flavors, most of the stuff is pint. Any of their seasonal stuff is a peanut butter flavor but we have cheddar cheese and bacon, chicken parmesan, beef parmesan.
Alex Fees: Chicken parmesan, who knew. But Lisa is this going to make little pudgy more so than he needs to be?
Lisa Saint Clair : No actually there is less calories in this than your average milk bone.
Alex Fees: Wow.
Lisa Saint Clair: But it is the owners you have to kind of train, because they get so excited sort of giving their dog a doggie donut that you kind of calm them down. You know, you like; you do not want to feed them a whole pound in one sitting you know.
Alex Fees: So the dog is not the problem it is the owner.
Lisa Saint Clair : Basically. It is just with any, any, anything.
