Female: Mary Cantando is settling in behind the table getting ready to sign some autographs and meet her public. Next to her are copies of her book, The Woman’s Advantage and nine Lives. Books, which contain some of the lessons Mary has learned.
Mary Cantando: Each chapter I taught a concept from my own experience. So here’s how to prepare for a sales call or here’s how to build a brand and then I selected a woman from across the country who have started and built a very successful multi-million business and focus on how she did that through building a brand.
Female: Mary’s newest project is a day to day calendar featuring inspirational practical words of wisdom for entrepreneurs from entrepreneurs.
Mary Cantando: I collected quotes to women all across to the US and Canada and we’re bringing them together just 00:58 of advice for other women business centers. So for example, one of the quotes is, “You could make excuses or you can make money, but you absolutely can't make both.” So that’s a little bit of corporate advise, a little bit of personal advise and just a variety of things but everyday a women will tear off a page and see today’s thought and it will be something that will help her to grow her business or her life.
Female: Mary Cantando discusses her involvement with WIPP, that’s Women Impacting Public Policy.
Mary Canatando: Well, I of course am a national member of WIPP and I have known 1:39 for quite a long time. I kind of freak when all of these things circuit so kind of the WIPP and NAWBO and WPO and all those circuits where as you would imagine women business centers are. That’s where I am so that’s why I’m here.
