SnapTell is an app for the iPhone that allows you take a picture of any DVD, CD, Video Game or Book Cover and find out additional information on it. Surprisingly, this app not only works very well, it is also very fast and offer more information than you would expect.
In this video, I used one example from each category. Not one of the items that I use had any issues when it came to being recognized. The only thing that was weird, it was at pictures all seem to more slant to the right than when the app head initially snap the picture. Depending on what the product does, you will have plenty of options to choose from. You can buy the product from Amazon.com. Visit IMDb, Rotten Tomato, GameSpot, Wikipedia or see the Google and Yahoo search results. All of these result will pull out directly in the app it self. That means you can even complete order with Amazon.com without leaving the app. All of your previously look up products will be listed in the explorer area of the app. You can leave them from later reference or delete them as you wish. This app is really handy and come possibly be big hit with the upcoming holiday shopping crop.
