Glenn Alpert: Hi! This is Glenn Alpert with Arlington Travel Soccer Club. Now, we're going to talk about using the center of our thigh for first touch. So, one way to do it is, toss the ball up, cushion it off the thigh, moving forward. Once more we cushion. It's important that I lower my thigh, as the ball comes down I raise to begin with and I lower it, so I could cushion it, so it rolls along the ground. Another way to do it, toss me the soccer ball Adam. As if it's coming from another direction, toss me in the air. As if it's coming in the run of play, moving forward.
Let's get William to demonstrate, tossing it up to himself, good. Let's try not to get it off the knee, that's one problem that we can run into. So, let's focus on getting it on our thigh. Toss it up good, once more William, off the thigh to yourself. Alright, now I'll toss the ball to you Adam and you're going to make a first touch moving forward with your thigh, ready? Okay, good, see how he keeps the ball low and he cushions it off of his thigh; once more, just hold the soccer ball William. Okay, very good.
So that was using the center of the thigh. Now we're going to move on to using the inside of the thigh for the first touch.
