This is one of my original characters, Red the cowboy and he has been changed three times and might be changed again. I like him to have a little bit more chin and he will get it next time. I have to take off the pack with just a piece of red fur with no sideburns, he has no ears, you can choose whether or not have ears, red eyebrows again pasted all the way across the front and a wider nose and just a little stitch around there. He does not have a white behind his eyes. A little pouty lip stitching right there. He has on a scarf and a little t-shirt, this is his original costume. This is past a 20 years old costume.
And he plays the guitar, so I have a safety pin right here and gloves, big cowboy gloves I got and spurs that dingle, dingle, dingle and cowboy boots and jeans. Last year, I finally got him a girlfriend we had a lot of different hats for the cowboys. I have my cowboy shirt on today, I am going to see Randy Travis and Shannon tonight and Shelby Lynn.
This is Scarlet, Red’s girlfriend. He has been howling for a girlfriend all this time, let us take off here, you hat is pinned on, I guess I will not take that off but she has the more expensive wigs because it is red, a real natural red. I think it costs twice as much as the brides wig in the catalogue. I have got several catalogues that I send I would send to you. no vest, Scarlet again has a red, can you see the red felt and kind of a like little cheeks here that you just tuck under with glue and a lot of gluing in there.
And she does have a red lips, the acrylic lips and eyelashes. Each one, every time you do it, it gets this a little bit different look stitching down the side. We have hairs. It is a lot easier than when they are bald. I have her hand pinned on her, hip on her gun. These were my daughter’s clothes and my daughter, it has been like 15 years since my daughter had this outfit.
And the little legs and little cowboy boots, just the kind that you can buy at retail shops, little cowgirl shirt on. She can be another character too and she probably will be. This is Max, the trash man and Valerie, he is a construction worker. This is Max with his hard hat and then when he puts on his little work hat then he is Max the trash man. He got another bald head with fake fur, the regular white fake fur covering up the stitching all the way around. Now all the way across the front, a big nose, he got a great big nose, and the red shows in his mouth and it has been glued. You can pin first before you glue all the way around the mouth. I think it is easier when you put it all in but as you experiment, you can try different things. He got a big nose sculptured, he got a blush right here, just real blush that is what it is and he got his eyelids tone right behind and the low animal, smaller animal. He got it all done, hands in his pockets. It is nice to buy these used overalls, because the knees are kind of worn out and it is got some false shoes. I always keep a bag of shoes all the time, whenever I find them for 25 cents, I buy them and keep them in a bag so that when I need shoes I just go through the bag. Max the trash man and the construction worker.
Now we got Vicky, our little hippie and she got some a little braids a whole lot of little braids with that unusual angora fur that they have in craft stores, any kind of thing that you braid with. If you want to just regular fake fur, you cut them in strips and sew that I did like the curs, sew it together and then braid it and brush it at the same time and that is how you make braids. She got sunglasses on and the white fur behind her eyes. They are all basically the same but as you sew them and monkey with them, they alter differently just like we do. Nose and I have a poppy on her hut, all these little braids and whatever happens to be in style during that era. She has these feathers and a comb, I used to wear then and the embroidered outfit that I got at the yard sale too and a white a turtleneck underneath. I have another outfit for Eugene…
