Basic Hebrew vocabulary lessons here, just simple words. Start learning some conversational Hebrew and used them around the house if that will help.
Father is aba or alh. My kids call me aba. Mother is ima. Grandfather in Hebrew is saba. I call mine Zayde which is Yiddish. Grandmother is safta. I called mine bubbee which is Yiddish. Uncle is dowd. Aunt is dodah and brother is ach. Sister is achot. Boy is a yeled. Girl is a yalda. Family is mispokhe or the Jews is saying in slang misphakah.
Your house is a beit. Synagogue is a beit knesset which means house of assembly. A lot of people called it shul. It is actually a Germanic word for school. Store is a hanut. Car is a mechonit. School is a beit sefer. Teacher is a morah for women merah for men.
A restaurant is a mis’ada.
The word shalom is hello, goodbye and peace. How are you is ma shlomek for girl and ma shlomcha for boys. How’s your peace in other words.
