Mike Agerbo: Security for any business is a major concern. Today, we’re going to have a talk with Joe Wilson from Sonitrol and how verified audio security systems are the way to go. Let’ have a look.
Joe Wilson: Sonitrol is a verified audio inside facilities or remote the monitored video on the outside of facilities, so we’re like a traditional alarm company except that we only provide verified technologies.
A verified alarm system is any system that can actually verify what it is that setting the alarm, so a motion sensor can’t verify what it is. It just knows that there’s some movement in front of it. Verification, we’re either listening to it or we’re watching it live.
The technology that we used is audio based to protect the insides of facilities. Each one of these audio sensors has a little bug. It listens to about 5000 square feet. We hear criminals as they are attempting to gain entry to the building by spinning the deadbolt popping the hinges peeling the door.
We push a button, we auto patch directly into the local 911. The police will respond immediately because they know it’s real. This camera is tuned with a motion sensor. It watches the environment, it’s armed up. When hit or movement goes through the field of vision, the video clip is set into our operation staff. They make it a determination between threatening and non-threatening.
How does video work in the darks? So with Sona Vision, what happens is we’re always going to use an infrared camera. The infrared actually paints the spectrum of where this is, so everything becomes reflective so with infrared, if I were to shoot it, it stays in the air. It would be a black image on the camera.
As soon as the person walks through it, the person would be illuminated by the infrared painting him and if you have Sona Vision, we’re going to see it or if you have audio, we’re going to hear it anyways.
Sonitrol makes the Sonitrol technology. We don’t buy it from another manufacture. It’s not available to other alarm companies. Beyond that, we have such a reputation with the police forces across North America that we’re real. We don’t want to have a Sonitrol sticker on a business as protected by conventional alarm technology and they show up priority one and it’s a false alarm. You would pick Sonitrol over a conventional alarm because we work. It’s the simplest thing.
