Let’s have a quick look at the camera. This is the size camera utility which you can trigger from up here sort of capture. And if I scroll that out you see you got the front of the camera. So there you see camera in operation. So let’s use the front camera and I can change that to use video. If you want to take this and take snaps, you probably wouldn’t. It is not good for that because it takes increments to get loaded up. And you get to get the camera in the right settings so by the time it done that the moment is gone. But it’s otherwise quite useful, let’s see. If we can see on here. See that 1.2 megapixels and that works quite nicely.
So it is quite nice, but I'm not really sure how I would use a camera. I don’t use the camera on Q1 so I don’t use that. One other nice thing I got here is zoom function. So if I can show you that now, we could zoom in. so if it’s something that is hard to read, you can zoom in on it. But once you're in the zoom in mode the touch screen works as a scroller. So you can't actually interact with what’s on the screen. But it is quite a nice idea. Of course you can change the screen resolution if you want if you find that it’s too high for you. But I prefer the Q1 sort of quick change of screen resolution so you can kind of use the zoom but you can still interact with it.
So all the features, let me give you some of the spec of the device here. It’s running Intel Core Solo processor. 1.3 gig. And it feels nice and web browser, playback media. All works fine. The device is a lot quicker than the Q1. It’s got a 32 gig drive and it’s a flash drive so there's no way you’ll be passing this. So the only thing actually when you're using is the fan which is pretty quiet. And it makes it more responsible. Kind of be why it feels so responsive. It’s got a gig of RAM which is what you recommend with Vista anyway. 4.5 inch WSVGH, 1024x600. See the screen is nice and clear. Let me just hook some power. Bright assessment, it is a really nice bright screen. It’s got a fingerprint recognition. It’s got two cameras in 1.3 megapixels or 1.3 on the back which is good if you put web camera. It’s got wireless AVG. USB. Keyboard. Action buttons. Docking stations. And I look around about 1500 pounds and that is sticking point for me really is the fact that 1500 pound for this. 700 pound for the Q1.
It’s a great device, don’t get me wrong, I really do like it. Would I pay for one myself? Definitely not. Q1 does what I want to do. I might think about carrying it around me all the time. This is too bulky for me to carry it around all the time. I guess it’s more for business anyway, Vista business edition. Would anybody would use the office wire work? Definitely not. Its’ definitely too small for them as well. So I guess it’s going to be a niche market. If this is the right machine for you and it does what you want it to do and it’s the right dimensions then that would be good for you.
It is nice and thanks to Sony for letting me play with it. This docking station is nice. It doesn’t mean that you could probably just use this one device as your main computer. But still I think it’s a little small for you to carry it around. It also comes with this nice carry bag as well.
So overall, nice device but I'm sticking with the Q1. Thanks for watching this Digital Lifestyle video show. Got a lot of shows coming. Any suggestions, feedback, comments. Send them in via digitallifestyle.com and I’ll see you around and make that show. Bye.
