The first is just to zoom it out without borders.
Go in the Pan/Crop screen and make a zoon till the suby are out of the screen.
Now you see the suby are gone but pretty much of the screen is cut out.
I think the better method is to make the AMV widescreen, set 16:9.
If they are still a bit from the subtitle visible, just make a little zoom, but most of the subs should be away just by making it 16:9, and it has a little cinema-movie touch.
