The book is a love story told there in auction catalogue. It is a failed love affair, I had to distill their story down to objects and not descriptions. And it is essentially about sentimental value, that the sentimental value will play some things.
The message that I'm trying to convey against is that everything has a story. Well lines that having meaning might be a note that was placed in Captain of Burk, a spice-jar full of carders or a collection of salt and pepper shakers that the couple stole from various restaurants. I feel like everybody does this.
This is a book that Lenore gets how early on in their relationship. She cleverly inscribes it to read, I kind of love you instead of kinds of love.
I think handwriting is important, I think actually putting pen to paper whether it's sticking posted note saying thanks for that or see you tonight instead of texting them, putting something down and also photographs too, because everything is digital, we don't have prints very much anymore and I think actually, printing out photographs and framing them or writing something on the back of them all these little things are romantic.
I personally love when things have stories and I think that is enriching I keep everything. Even it could be a gum wrapper and I will think, Oh! I remember that. Sometimes you screw up when you spent all that money on something that you think is going to be special and lasting and meaningful, when really a handwritten note, a handwritten card. These are the things that people keep and that tell a story.
