Space Lift: Find Your Power Position

Hi! I am Elizabeth Chamberlain and welcome to Space Lift where I am going to show you how to change your home to change your life. In the next few minutes, I am going to share Feng Shui secrets so that you can learn how to rearrange your room to make even your wildest dreams come true. Feng Shui teaches us that your bed position can either contribute to your success or hinder it. So today, I am going to show you how to find your power position.

First, let's find where our bedroom room is in our energy map. By laying the energy map on top of our floor plan, we can see that the wealth area is in the far left corner from the front door facing in. This bedroom happens to be in the wealth area but the bed position is very important, no matter where your bedroom ends up being in your energy map.

So here are the rules. You want to have the largest view of the room and the largest view of the door without being in direct line of the door. This particular room, the door is over in this area here so you don't want to have the foot of your bed aimed out the door because that's called the Chinese death position. That's the position that they lay the bodies before they carry them out the door, not good.

This bed here is placed with it's back to the door, that's not good either because issues can be coming up in whichever room it's in. If this is the wealth area, there could be financial issues going on behind your back. If it's one of the relationship area, then there could be something happening with your significant other that you don't know about. You want to be in the power position.

The power position is back across from the door either on this wall or on this wall. For us, it's over in this area. So we are going to make some changes now and let's get started.

Now we have it. Thank goodness! In this room, we have the luxury of choosing where to place the bed. Some people have smaller spaces and can only place their headboard along the line of the door. If that's your case, you would want to put a mirror opposite the door so that you can see anyone coming in before they see you.
