Special Application Review Part 1/2
Hey guys what’s up? I know it’s a little darker right now. I'm going to be trying to fill this video with the different styles and make the viewing axis best as possible for you guys. It’s going to be a really long video because it’s got 20 applications in here and I don’t want you guys to have a little blur effects and auto focus less up so I'm trying to this video as best as possible, as easy as possible and as clear as possible for you guys. You guys can enjoy this much as possible.
So as I was saying to my introduction this is going to be my top 20 applications for all the reviews that I’ve ever done. Every single review number 1 to 49 for the hundreds of applications that I have reviewed this is going to be my top 20 and my number 20 application I'm going to start of with is going to be Rolando. It’s very fun, pretty original kind of game play. The only problem about this application is not only does it have a high price but also it does have a pretty bad replay value with it.
It is a very fun application to play through once but I have actually not restarted my stats and I'm playing to you for a second time and as you can see I haven t got too far through because honestly playing to the second just isn’t as fun much as the first time. The first time was so original. It’s really fun to figure out all the controls and kind of learn more about the aspects of the game pad but once you play through it and you have the entire game and beat it, come to the seat of levels also they had added another recent updates.
The game just kind of loses all the pizzazz that you get when you first download the application. So very simple idea, all you need to do is pretty much just tap on any of the Rolando’s and by tapping on them you get to control them by using the Excel at the left, Word is at right and by flicking up. You will flick your Rolando and make him jump in the air. It is a very, very fun concept and honestly the controls for are deselected be kind of heavy kind of inconsistent and not needed really. It’s kind of more of a burden to actually make them, instead of actually make them fun but really, once you do get used to the controls you really don’t even notice it might take a second nature for you.
And it definitely becomes fun and it makes the application pretty original at that because lot of applications do try to utilize at the Excel parameter but not all of them can actually hit them with the correct way if they want to try it out and target the application. But this one definitely succeeds in doing it and makes it a fun application and it definitely makes one worth going so check out the purchase for let say Rolando. It is a paid application from the App store. I'm not sure if it is a light one. I do not think so. Remember you guys that is going to be my number 20 application review from all the outside of our review. That is kind of cool with my iPod maybe not.
Anyhow my number 19 application is going to be one for my latest so you actually are one of my latest ones and this review is going to be called “Defend your Castle.” So this is apparently very similar to one that is also on the top part of the paid store right now. I believed it’s called like stick over stick man or something like that but I haven’t look at that up. I looked at that application. I have not purchase that application.
This one honestly interests me to such an extent that I have no need to go on and give another one. This one is so much fun. It is a perfectly constructed it has a casual game play feeling into it. It makes you definitely want to continue to come back and play this more.
So for the main many you have a couple of things to choose from. You got to continue if you’ve already started the game and we’ll start on right other saved file and going to continue. And pretty much the entire concept is that you have a bunch of little stick guys chasing at your castle trying to attack at it as much as possible. I want to take out your castle, pretty much defend your fortresses and all the entire object to the game. There's upgrade you can get at the end of each level and the level is pretty much just time to buy the sun. You can't see here now. It’s up here but when the sun does begin to set and once it becomes dark then all these little stick guys are actually start to sleep and in trying to get a bomb going to come out. Here we go.
So all these stick guys are actually sleeping and they’re pretty much not doing anything and that’s when you go into little store to buy your extra characters. That’s when the upper or that’s the level pretty much done and you proceed at the next round. It is a very simple kind of game. All you do right here as you can see is just flick up any figures that can be flick up. I don’t want to say but I'm going to flack up, sorry if that kind sounds of weird. I know flick. I don’t know you guys know what I'm trying to say. Anyway guys that’s pretty much the entire application, very simple, very casual kind of style to it as you guys see. You had this little fun, animated stick guys going around. Your castle is very simple and you’re like a cardboard, like a school project kind of layout. You have this class going by the background on like a string.
There’s cardboard behind this board. You can tell a little bit and then here’s the sun. The sun is finally starting to come down so it is now slowly starting to end but that’s pretty much the entire application. That’s all I'm going to show you guys for this. It’s a very addicting one and very fun to try and proceed to the following rounds after it. See how far you can get and it’s definitely one that I recommend. You at least go check out. Look at it, check the description of it. It’s pretty much for some people as more of defended kind of a castle games. It’s kind of like a tower defense junior I would say by setting up towers and when on upgrading your castle you're actually able to defend your castle to such as extent and you’re pretty much just trying to see how far you can get and how long you can last. That has called “Defend your Castle” a paid application from the App store. I recommend to go check it out but you might not actually go there and buy. That is only for a slot view.
My next application, also a pretty recent one is going to be called Rasta Monkey, very fun application. This is original. This has a very fun. It has a story mode and just dialogue and characters that you fall in love with which is so rare to find in an application. Usually your drop into an application and you start playing it and that is pretty much it. You just play it for the fun of it.
This application is not only playing for fun game play but you’re playing because the characters and pretty much the story that you’re actually playing with makes you want to keep going and see what is next on the next level. You have two different characters in this. you have Rasta Monkey the little guy that you will meet throughout the most of the game and you have this older grandpa kind of character who you have pretty much working for and what you're doing is you’re going to the different trees of the forest and you’re collecting fruits for him to make a smoothie with.
So he’s just talking right now. His words are pretty fun to at least read. I want to skip to him because he does say quite a lot on this beginning but here’s pretty much the entire introduction tutorial. What you do is you just go around and there you go. He got a banana and pretty much this is going to around the screen for his little branches. You cannot go up tree trunks running like that and what you do is you go across these narrow branches and eventually you are running the branches like this or you’ll have to actually hold two different coins to the screen and by releasing at the same time you flick to the air and it’s very easy at first. There are only 10 levels included in the application. Sadly, I definitely wish they were made more because this is such a fun game. It should not have to end as soon as it does and but once you get to the levels like seven, eight, nine this game becomes ridiculously difficult.
Not to a certain extent which you don’t know what to do but it becomes difficult to the point that you have these enemies that you’re trying to avoid but it becomes outrageously frustrating. So pretty much that is the end of the level, that is the end of level one but as you do proceed on you go farther into the game. The difficult levels are towards the end and it is definitely wants you down. You want to try fight towards skating too because it makes the game play so much more fun when you're having a seat there and trying to get Rasta, the monkey guy up to collect strawberries and bananas and lemon. Basically you’re just working with the team with you’re grandpa and it’s got fun music, fun graphics, and what-not. Definitely some fun characters you’re going to be happy to meet. So that’s my number 18 applications called the Rasta Monkey.
My number 17 application for you guys is going to be also a recent one. This one is pretty new one so far. This one is going to be called Bloons and Bloons is a very, very well known computer game obviously for the computer but anyway this is finally have been brought to the iPod Touch. It’s in the iPhone at the App Store and it’s a fantastic application. It did a great job with it and it is at 50 levels, all exclusive to the device to the App store.
In these 50 levels you are not going to able to find on the computer. You can only find them on an iPod Touch or an iPhone which definitely encourages you more to go out and buy the application. For the main menu you have play, options, help and about. You want to go in the play and you have three different save slots. These are not different worlds or different kind of maps. These are only different save slots so I do not have a 47 steel. I have not been able to be level 47 yet but just simply enough I’ll try to show level two that is a pretty easy one.
Now what some different concepts I can show actually in those concepts if I'm going to try to show you. It’s the concept. It’s the long lasting concept. I’d gather once seems like it would be really easy but it’s really not. Anyway, so we have five darts for level one. Down at the bottom for your AHDH it shows you the level you're on and the name. How many darts you have left? Number of balloons that you’ve popped. The number that you actually have to target to pass the level and you are best score for the level. So really easy, great controls also of this application. You just touch anywhere and you pull depending on how far you pull depends upon the power that you are actually throw the dart at, just a little bit and your object is just try to burst as many balloons as possible.
It seems really easy. It’s kind of easy at first. I'm not going to lie but it definitely gets to be outrageously difficult. I will show you some of the levels that I have gone through. I’d like to share the one that I cannot get through it now. That one is not good. This one is pretty tough. Okay so this was actually very tough. This little black, black down here means I can bounce a dart off, so I need to bounce one dart off of this. Once I hit that I spike dart or it has been that spike balloon come down and hit that once and I got the three and I mean I already must stop. I can tell I did but it seems really easy but it’s not. It becomes more of a puzzler than actually having to have accurate throws.
You try to think of how you can you actually proceed to your level and it definitely becomes difficult game play that makes you want to keep coming back for more to such an extent that you actually kind of want more levels to be added on. Hopefully I will add on more than just a 50 levels already installed and if you update but as for now you got 50 to live with. I haven’t beaten him so I'm no t complaining. That’s called Bloons. That’s my number 17 application for this review.
My number 16 application is not a game and is actually already on the screen. You can guess what it is. It’s going to be FMyLife and this is a very, very popular website on the computer. It’s becoming more popular over time. Actually, it’s becoming a pretty big hit and what it is it just things that happen to people’s day and pretty much what you’re trying to do is just saying FMyLife. It was a terrible situation. I hated it and maybe you guys can laugh at with it, such and try to find to get one. Okay here’s to get one.
Today I was on a subway and saw this cute guy I meet. I crossed my legs tossed back my hair and raised my eyebrows slightly. As he came up to me, my heart started racing until he finally started flirting with the girl next to me, FMyLife. So that’s an appropriate one. There is a lot here that are really not appropriate that I'm not going to be able to read here.
There are reasons. That’s the category that we’re in right now. The ones had lately been updated. There are shuffle which pretty much gives you random FMyLife and it is pretty easy. You can just shake the device and you’ll get a fresh one out of it under it. You have feature which are the top ones right now for all time, month, week or today and you also have categories which is pretty nice. The categories are love, money, kids, work, health and miscellaneous. That is pretty much the entire application. This is a free application. This is one I will recommend you.
There are some inappropriate things in there. I will give you heads up in advance but if you do not have problem with that carefully go and check it out. It is a very fun application and it’s free so why not? No harm done.
Now my number 15 application for you guys is going to be the original. There's a sequence already been released but is going to be the original tap-tap revenge and guys I'm going to tell you right now I don’t have it on my iPod touch anymore. I'm really sorry I kind of actually just realize this but you will be seeing tap-tap revenge too later in this review in tens, so were spoiling it for you. I do not have tap-tap revenge one on here anymore but that is going to be my number 15 application. Over here I’ll leave in the side bar I’ll leave a little link if you want to go over and check out the original tap-tap revenge review but anyway I will skip on the next one.
And we’re going to my number 14 application which is also going to be pretty recent one. This one was addicting as crap. I beat it in just a couple of days because it’s so much so fun and it’s going to be called Blocked, very, very fun application. There are others out there like this in the App Store but this is probably the best constructive one I have seen so far. You get, I believe I want to say, 100 levels for five different difficulties, easy, medium, hard, harder, hardest and from that point pretty much you started easy. We go to the very first level and the very first level was pretty much just a tutorial built-in. It’s so simple. What you do here is slide, slide, and slide. So you’re trying to move all this gray blocks depending on which way they’re angled horizontal or vertical to the point where you can slide this blue block to this little gap over here.
It is very simple and I move on the next level. I actually beat all 100 levels. I am not going to brag because it was not like I was so good of these games like got there immediately. It was like I have no life. Let me do this like during day, night, screw eating screw sleeping, I'm going to play block and beat it. So it just struck me quite a while for me to actually to be able to beat it guys. It is definitely an application I am going to recommend to you guys. There are other apps out there like this in the App Store. I'm very well aware of it and I've seen those. I've checked them out. This is my favorite of this type of genre. So if you want an application like this a very intense, very fun and addicting puzzler. Also for a pretty cheap price tag definitely you got to check this out. This is Block, 99 cents application from the App store.
My next app for you guys, let’s see if we can get one really quickly in is going to be Super Monkey Ball. This is one of the original applications that I ever actually reviewed so far back on my old channel and it is still one of my favorite applications on my device. It has got action, not even very, it has got amazing graphics. Some of the best graphics I have seen on this device so far. There a couple of things you can do on main menu which is a create mode. You progress to all the different worlds, instant play which pretty much just puts you random away from a different map, practice so you can practice a specific level, rankings worldwide and then options. Go into the main and you are going to practice and I’ll select the level. Those four different characters were Ai Ai, Mimi, Baby and Gon-gon. I will be Ai-Ai and we’re going to Monkey Island. I will just do the first level, very, very simple kind of game play.
All you need to do really is use the Excel parameter to tilt through the level, cut as many bananas as possible and get your little monkey through this little red ring at the end. So that is the entire first level. It’s easy obviously but there are a lot of peripherals throughout this entire application. So now, what I can do is I can show you one of the very difficult levels. Go to the very last one space case, 11 to 20 I am going to show you the last level.
Anyway, these take me quite a while to beat. We have a power round for me to beat this level. I beat this game because I played it nonstop because was nothing was working in my house. Anyway, so you have to use some really, really, really careful hand movements which of course I didn’t display right there. So you have to go forward a little bit and pretty much strangle the monkey at the end. I cannot do it. I suck at this game I want to say that. Anyway, guys this is Super Monkey Balls. It is still a paid application from the App Store but it’s definitely still one of my tops of all time. That is going to be my number 13 application of all time. Sorry I have this written down next to me. I have a Super Monkey Ball paid application number 13 app of all time. Definitely go check that one out. It’s very fun application. There is a light version now so you can go check that one out if you want it also.
All ready guys so I have to come back. I had to go empty my memory card from all the crap that I just filmed for this video. Anyway, we’re going to start this review back up once again with my 12 top application which is going to be an older one that I reviewed a while back called Enigmo. This is probably one of my favorite applications definitely because it is such an original and creative application that it’s definitely once it sticks into your head and makes you want to keep turning back to play more especially because of all the downloadable content that can come with the game. When you first start, you get 50 pre-loaded levels. I think that is how many levels there are and then following that there is just a ton of downloadable content with free level contents that are created by users and what-not that you can download. No charge, no problem or whatsoever you download it to device and you are playing just like no more story mode.
Pretty much what Enigmo is, is that you are constructing different conveyors and contraptions pretty much. So you are able to direct water droplets from one jug which is going to be the flowing jug right there into the receiving one over here. So I have my tools right over here to the left side of the screen and by simply dragging one and angling it I can direct water droplets to your right and to this receiving jug down here. Very simple concepts that you once get to the deeper levels and more harder part of the campaign mode then it really does become extremely strenuous because you’re trying to avoid all these different block cage and obstacles and what-not such as like lasers pretty much. There are little rooms that you need to try and get past that you can deactivate the lasers and deactivate force fields and the application does become extremely strenuous and difficult. These are not just not so much just trying to get the perfect angle of your objects and tools that you’re using but actually it starts to become where you’re trying to figure out how am I going to even get pass this level.
It’s more of a puzzler later in the application and as you can see also right here sometimes there is actually more than one color so angle that and there we go. There is actually going to be four different colors that you will see in the level at a time. It’s going to be blue, red, green and yellow and that is pretty much it.
So the top left part screen you have your level of your arm and at the right top corner of the screen you have the time and how ever long it takes you to beat the level. It will give you a certain amount of bonus points. Both side of the screen is your tool inventory about what tools you can use. The right bottom part of the screen shows you want jug colors that are available for this level and how many of the water droplets you actually have on the receiving jug. You need to get 40 droplets to actually activate that jug to the passable fill level.
And then up on the right side of the corner you also you have pause and then you can resume and then go to settings and then also you have pinching to zoom out. You can scan around and you're going to pinch in and it can get pretty close. It’s got really fantastic graphics and you do experience their little frame. You might as used later in the application. When you get more into the in depth levels when you have actually a lot of hopping on the speed at once, all four different colors going thousands of droplets everywhere. So yeah, it does become a little bit of larger application with more. It does have frame ready. She’s not going to lie but the sound if you guys can hear that is quick today and get them out loud. The graphics are good, sound effects are good and it’s just overall pretty well constructed application. I definitely recommend that you go check that one out. That is called Enigmo.
And my next application for you guys is also a pretty recent one. I just reviewed for you, very simple concept. It’s probably one of the most simple concepts that I've just seen. In fact, these just actually had an update for it but this is going to be called Flight control and it is a pretty cheap application I believe. It is I think still only 99 cents. That is what I got it when I first got it at. For the main menu, you have controls. Right on here you have credits, tutorial, stats and play and then due to the new update that they just had under stats you can actually get an online scoreboard which is pretty cool. It shows you different ranking for you are pilot level that you are at and then it also has all your score that you used to have. All you are stats and what-not, your high score, your average score, and most recent score.
Most air crafts on screen that it’s high and totally aircraft landed and mostly like E-crash. Go back to the menu and I’ll show you a little bit of game play, very simple concept. You have different landing areas. You have this first one which is where you land the red airplanes. This was one is red. This one is the yellow one for just smaller and this is your blue helipad where you land a helicopter that comes in later. So you have red airplanes, yellow airplanes and then helicopters that are blue to come in and the way that you land them is simply by just dragging any little direction with your finger. It will direct where the airplane or the helicopter will go and your object is to just simply land them just by dragging them into the landing strip or the landing helipad.
And then once you’ve done that, you get points. It’s pretty simple but your only subject is that you’re trying to score these points while avoiding the other aircrafts in the air at a time because if you're about to hit them and if you are about to collide I’ll try and show you collision in the air.
When they first interact, when they first get closer to each other they’ll start blinking red and when they actually do hit watch right here. When they will actually hit, it will stop and then it will blink and that is the entire game. We just got game over. We just lost, very simple concept. I only got have five landed that time. My record is actually 78. Hopefully you guys can beat it. I definitely recommend to go check that one out guys. That is going to be my number 11 application out of my top 20 which is going called Flight Control.
