Richard: Hi my name is Richard, I am from Chicago, Illinois. Now I really like Indian food but every time I eat it I get the worst stomach ache. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain without giving up the food? Toomas Sorra: Well Richard, I don't think it's only Indian food that causes problems for people, I think that certain ethnic foods are very spicy and I would say that actually this probably a pre-easy solution, what you can do without taking any medication on a regular basis is if you know you are going to be having Indian food, there is plenty over-the-counter medications such as Zantac 75, medications like that that you can take about an hour before you are planning to eat. And it will help protect, it will give neutralize the acid in the stomach and at least minimize the chances of you getting your Indian food problem.
