At the top of the light house you can take out the gaurd in two ways either sneak up behind him grab him and knock him out(the way you did) OR you can jump of the sledge hang off the lighthouse's railing while hanging move around and hang right beneath the gaurd(he won't notice since he looks straight and it is quite dark) then on your right side screen you can see an option to grab him and throw him off the lighthouse tower,It's pretty cool to watch him fall off while screaming..AAAhhhhhh hhh...!! LOL
