Hi! I am Tasha with the Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa. Today, we will be creating their red carpet looks of the one and only Jessica Simpson.
Now, we have moved on to spraying each section, to start creating our look. You want to go through, pull each section out as so. Spray just from a couple of inches from the hair, and what that does, it puts the control in the hair, also makes it so that when you go through to curl, it gives a little bit more of a hold, and control to any flyaways. I am going through, comb that product through.
Take your one inch curling iron, and you are going to want, to face your curling iron down. I am going through, open up the tongs of the hair, not too close to the scalp, I am going to go through, pull it down, wrap the curling iron up as so, just like this. Pull the hair down, just slightly, wind the hair back up, open it just to kind of release it just a teeny bit, you want to a hold it for just a couple of seconds, possibly five seconds. And let it go. I am going to want to release it. And leave the curl as so.
Now, the next section, you want to do the same diagonal sectioning. Clamp that hair away, spray your section as so. You definitely want to go through and spray each section, just so that you had the same amount of control each time. But this time as we go through and curl, we are going to go over it. And the reason why you curl the hair under and over because what that does, it creates a lift movement throughout all of your curls.
So this time we are going to come on the top of the hair, wind it down, just a little bit, come like this, pull it out as so, come all the way down to the end, and wind that hair all the way to the root.
Now, you are going to want to keep just a couple of inches from your scalp, just so that you don't burn or get the curl down too, close, you will feel a teeny bit of the heat, but it's okay. You kind of come down and leave the hair as so, so that you create a curl that's a little bit more elongated and a little -- and a curl that has a little bit more volume and what that does, it's going to create lift and a lot of natural movement throughout the hair.
Once you have gone through and curled all of the head, when you get to the front you are going to want to do that slightly a little bit different. So I am going to show you how to do that. You want to take your top section, you still are going to want to part and do a diagonal parting across, the front towards your hairline. If you have link some bangs or shorter pieces around your hairline, you are going to want to start with those first. You are going to want to section those out as so, use a slightly smaller section, than before pin the rest of the hair away.
Comb the hair straight up, take your styling product, hold your hair back slightly, go right on top of the hair, spray a little bit of hairspray. Comb that part all the way through from root to ends. You are going to want to take your curling iron, you are going to face it where the opening comes towards you, it comes straight, you want to curl that hair backwards. So that the root hold for a couple second, pull out as so, wind it back just slightly a little bit more, pull out a little bit more, until you have got the very end of the hair, all the way in the barrel of the curl. Come out some and you are going to want to pull it just a little bit, as you are going down the curl to elongate that curl. And just let that lay natural as so.
You are going to want to take the next section. Diagonal parting and so, where you are going to kind of piece it out, into different sections along as you get to the top. And normally, the next section will definitely be a teeny bit longer as your first section. And you are going to want to do the same exact thing. So take your hair, direct it back as so, comb, spray a little bit of hairspray. Comb that product throughout all of the hair, and you are going to want to curl this back also. Come at the root, wind it back a little bit with the curl. Bring it out a little bit more, wind that back a little bit more, all the way until you get to the end of the hair, hold it for a couple of seconds. Sometimes you may touch it just a little bit, just to feel -- you can definitely, feel how warm the hair gets. When you get it to the part where you almost kind of a little bit too hot on your hands, release that hair. Kind of go through and hold it as so.
The next section, go through, part that hair up as so, clip them rest of it away. I am going to spray it more hairspray on to it. Now, this time you are going to want to curl the hair directed towards the face. So you are going to come opposite, bring that outside, wind it down, now the tail of the hair, you are going to want to grab that away, just so you don't get any fishtails. And fishtails are when the end of the hair are curled, but they have a weird shape to them. So you always want to make sure, you have the end of the curls in place. So you definitely, are going to want and kind of take those, curl it towards the front, hold it to feel it how warm it is and lightly pull that hair through. And gently lay it down.
And the last section, on the top, put through spray, comb the product all the way throughout all of the hair and we are going to want to curl this one backwards. Hold for a couple of seconds and lightly pull that hair through. Now, as you can see we went through, there's four sections -- sections right in the top.
The first section, you are going to remember to curl that hair back, the second section where after that, you are going to want to curl that back also, the third one, curl towards your face, the one after that you want to curl backwards. And the reason why you do that is going to create lift and volume, if you can kind of see as the hair curls towards the face, it's elongating the hair into the face. As you curl the hair backwards, you are creating lift around the face to kind of open the facial area up.
Now, we are going to go ahead and finish the look right now.
