Some facts about the scs: - Its a pretty cool thing, scratching is just great with 1 ms Latency - Built Qualitiy is not, what you are expecting for that money. Plastic & Rubber. It snot so bad like a M-AUDIO xponent, but even not so good as vestax VCI-100 - Its not a MIDI-only Controller, there is a little Translater-Software between Traktor and the scs.1. To edit your own preset you need to buy this SW (Bomes MIDI Translator) for 20 Bucks. But it looks a little complicated, if you are not in MIDI like a pro AND there is still no OSX Version. - The Presets, that stanton gives you are only able to manage ONE Deck and the mixer. If you like to work with a traditional setup with 2 Decks - forget it! stanton is not able to say, when it is possible. - The Presets are not distributed by the official mailing-list. I am a registered user and didnt received any mail until today. I would not buy it again! clavis

Craig is going to show us why this thing is the closest thing you are going to get to a turntable._00:14 Craig: Now, there is a lot of different methodologies or think using a platter to control DJ software. The most—most of them do not involve directly coupling their playback with the platter. And they have with the—play with that on top of the vinyl. But what we have actually done here is we have actually coupled our playback directly. You can see that the motor is spinning. The inside, this is what controls the play position and it does directly couple to the record. Just like, it is the same relationship that your needle has with vinyl here. Only the needle is your play position and this strikes the— So there is a direct relationship between the vinyl, real vinyl and what you are doing. It is not pitch reel. It is not some kind of algorithm that—wait, take it off. [Crosstalk]
