Travis Stork: That was Elizabeth who suffers from intense back pain; she can barely lead a normal life. She has tried medication and surgery but nothing has worked. She has been desperate for a new alternative treatment, so she decided to undergo an experimental stem cell surgery.
Elizabeth: My pain level ranges between 8-9. Sometimes, it gets really bad. I am looking forward to be me again because I have not been that for a while now. I am nervous.
Male Speaker 1: Where is your worst pain?
Elizabeth: In my back here.
Male Speaker 1: The lower back.
Elizabeth: Yeah.
Male Speaker 1: Is there one side that's worst than the other.
Elizabeth: My right side.

Female Speaker: She tries to be happy, and I know like she is in so much pain.
Male Speaker 1: What's different that we are doing today is we are using a bone graft that contains stem cells to help two bones heal together. We are going to make two incisions. We are going to prepare our screw holes. This is the nerve and this is the disc that we are going to start working on. I am cutting into the disc space now. Then we are going to put our bone graft with stem cells in. May I have the plunger again? So these are four screws connected by two rods, a little less than an inch-and-a-half for each of these --
