Speaker: Hi, I am Tony from Makings (Ph) and today we are testing your tip, where if you put an onion in a microwave and then cut it, it won't make you cry. So we have peeled an onion and we've chopped the ends and now we are going to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then, okay, so we have microwaved the onion and now we are going to cut it.
I can smell from the onion, but it doesn't -- do not feel that air from that onion. Actually, the odour is still pretty strong. So, I don't know if this does actually work, so strong, strong odour. I am going to cry, this is so full. I don't know if this tip worked. So, heat can work for the onion, you still need to try and stir up.
So, we are going to try another tip that we have read, that you can put it in the refrigerator for 30 seconds and then cool. We do the same thing, we use that to mix your ice here. So, here we have our onion and it is now peeled and already little aggravated just holding the onion. So I am going to go ahead and put it in the refrigerator.
Then 30 seconds, then take it out. Now, the sulphur has been neutralized by the cold. Now, I don't peel it here yet. Now it feels relatively the same as I did before and I don't think it's going to make any significant difference. Yeah, we have a little stinging right now, so in conclusion, the microwave and the refrigerator tactic did not neutralize the tear jerking effect of the onion.
