Piers Cross: Welcome to a five minute stress relief. It is wonderful that you have joined me here today. To me, this show is a real state of inner kindness, coming to a place where we know we are going to be able to relax, to let go. It takes courage to stop, to stop the momentum in our lives, decide to just build at the moment, like a treadmill where one thing happens after the other and it is very difficult to step off this treadmill.
We get up in the morning, we go to work, we finish work, we come home, we go to bed, we rush from one place to another, but we don't step off this treadmill and coming here listening to this, this is stepping off. So breath deeply and breath out, relax, let go, you are doing magnificently well. No matter anyone what around you says, I can tell you now you are dong absolutely magnificently. We are bombarded with people telling us we are no good, people telling us we should be better off, or our own worst internal critic are internal dialog which puts us down, day after day, hour after hour, but I can tell you my friend, you are doing magnificently well.
In the Tao Te Ching, there is a quote which says, 'The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step and sometimes the first step is just stopping.' So you have stopped now, listen to this and congratulate yourself, “Well done my friend! You are doing magnificently.” Pat yourself on the back. Say to your self, “Yeah, I am stopping, I am caring for myself, I am being kind to me,” because the truth is who else will be kind to us, if we don't stop? It is our responsibility to stop, to slow down, to relax, to let go, breathe in and breathe out. Allow your shoulders to drop. Allow your energy to slip from your hand down your spine and your legs into your feet, breathe in and breathe out relax, let go.
Breathe in and breathe out, well done, breathing in and breathing out, magnificently, truly, truly magnificent. What you are offering yourself here and it is you who is offering yourself this, this space this time to unwind, what you are just offering here is a gift, a gift to yourself. Isn’t that nice to be kind, to be kind to ourselves for once? You are wonderful, you are beautiful. You are radiant like a sun, you are the stars and the angels, you are just beauty and that is the truth. If people say otherwise, well, they don't know you. So breathe in and breathe out, relax.
How do you feel now, how do you feel now? Allow the warmth of inner kindness to spread through every pore inside of your body, the beauty, the truth of being joyful being now. Magnificent, maybe well my friend, maybe well.
