Tara: Hey, what is up? It is Tara Stiles. And today we have the fabulous Ms. Desiree Dymond Superstar. And today we are going to show you guys some partner yoga moves that you can do with your friend. Today I have Desiree. So, do you want to do some partner yoga?
Desiree: Yes.
Tara: Do you stress a little bit?
Desiree: Yes.
Tara: Desiree gets stressed out.
Desiree: I do.
Tara: Okay, so the first one we will just start in a downward dog position. And if you just take your towel actually and you could just take your towel and wrap it around her hip bones there. And make sure you talk to your partner, if they are cool like make sure if everything is good. And from here you can just actually pull straight back. How is that?
Desiree: Good.
Tara: See how our shoulders went into alignment. Actually it takes some weight out of the pressure on the position I am holding it. It is pretty nice on her. Is that good?
Desiree: Yes.
Tara: After that one, another one you can do in downward dog is, I am just going to lean back on her. And you can actually just sit down right above their shoulders and then just lean all the way back. How is that?
Desiree: It is good.
Tara: Actually my whole weight is on her and she is still alright because it evenly distributes the weight this way.
Desiree: Is that all your weight?
Tara: It is all my weight.
Desiree: Wow.
Tara: It is pretty amazing isn’t it?
Desiree: Yes.
Tara: And then just come all the way up from there. Okay, do you want to do some more?
Desiree: Yes.
Tara: Okay, so just come out of that and just lay down on your back. Let us do a little twisting pose. So just bring your right knee up and over and then just twist over to the side. There you go and then bring your hands our to a “T”. Make sure to bracket her legs here with your legs. So I like have my sheen pretty much under butt and my other sheen under the knee and then she is just going to give me her arm. So she is twisting that way, so it would be the opposite arm. And then carefully just make sure you talk to them, you are just going to pull their arms straight up. How is that?
Desiree: Good.
Tara: So the key here is to do it slowly and then all the way down. And then just switch sides. And the thing about that is you want to communicate with the person that you are stretching out because you don’t just want to yank him around. And Desiree, I want you to remember to keep breathing. Sometimes she stops breathing. (laughter) Okay, how is that?
Desiree: Good.
Tara: Cool, okay, awesome. So do you want to try a bridge up? Okay
Desiree: Okay.
Tara: So you have kind of done all of it?
Desiree: Yes, I have done one.
Tara: She has done one. Alright, today we will try for two. So if you are helping your friend into a bridge up that has only done one, you can have them… Let us try it here, just bring your hands by your head and then make sure their elbows are in together and first just come up to the top of your head. Just push up and land on the top of your head. So when she is here, make sure you bring your shoulders on your back here and then bring your elbows in just like that and then make sure that your feet are parallel here. And then you can have somebody…you can actually roll them a little bit forward to get a lift in their chest and then just push on all the way up. How is that?
Desiree: Good.
Tara: And then just make sure if her first or second time that you give a pretty good support there. Okay. Oh I felt a crack.
Desiree: I felt a crack.
Tara: Me also, that was good right? You want to try one more?
Desiree: Okay.
Tara: She is all relaxed. Okay, just come up and turn to sitting forward bend. So just bring your feet straight out in front of you and stretch your arms up over your head and then you are just come all the way over your legs there. And one way to give her a further stretch on this is you can just actually take a sit right there on her back and you can lower yourself down like that. How is that doing, are you all right?
Desiree: Good, yes of course.
Tara: So I have my whole weight on her again and it is alright because it is evenly distributed this way. You can actually put quite a bit of your weight on until, depending on, if they take it off. Okay, we are going to stay here for a while. Look, I am just kidding. Cool. Okay, so you can just come all the way up from that. Okay, thanks Desiree.
