Style Spice DIY Makeover Show: T-shirt and Jeans Makeover - Episode 1

[Music Playing] Meg: Hi! I am Meg and welcome to Style Spice, where I show how to spice up your wardrobe with simple outfit adjustments. My guest today is my friend Laney. Hi Laney and welcome to the show! Laney: Hi Meg! Thanks so much for having me. I can't wait to see what you have in store. Meg: Well to begin with, why don't you tell us a little about your outfit? Laney: It's just one of my normal outfits, just black T-shirt, some jeans. Really comfortable, really classic for pretty much anywhere! Meg: The T-shirt and jeans look is a great casual option and black is a very slimming color. Laney: Definitely I use it all the time to have my love handles. Meg: But you know what, I think the problem with this outfit is that you are minimizing your entire top half. Now I am not suggesting we try and minimize your hips -- hips are great. But we need to work with our curves and not against them. Laney: Yeah! I completely agree with you. I love the way my hips look but you're right, I do feel bottom heavy at times. Meg: Don't worry! I am going to show you a real simple way to give you more of an hourglass shape, really spice up your outfit. Now I need to do is try another black top with a different neckline. Laney: Really? Meg: Really! Take a look in the mirror. Laney: Wow! And you were absolutely right. That's such a simple change, make such a big difference. I really like, and what it does for my figure too. Meg: It creates a horizontal line up here which helps broaden the look of your shoulders, just balance out your hips. Now you said earlier that your outfit before was very comfortable but what do you think of this one? Laney: Yeah, I feel great in this outfit. With the other one it was really quite comfortable because that was what I was so used to wearing. But now with this one I think I am actually a little bit more comfortable because I know it just looks so much better. Meg: I hope this has been helpful Laney! Laney: It sure has!
