I was spending endless time researching thousands of prescription sunglasses online, with a fear that if I did choose one, would they fit when delivered. It was time to take a new approach. So I decided to ask the professionals and book myself in for a real life assessment, after all, seeing is believing and a risk not worth taking. I stumbled across the official OPSM website which explained how important it really is to have regular checkups to ensure our eyes are working the best way they should. What was brought to my attention was the simplicity to book in an eye test with a qualified optometrist, which really is a check for eye health, as well as eye wear. Anyway, a big thank you to the OPSM Store at Miranda who service was exceptional. Honestly, it was an ideal experience and I'm sure I'll be a customer of OPSM for many years to come. Healthful Hints There is more to buying sunglasses that meets the eye. They can protect those baby blues or browns from the sun's damaging UV rays, if you choose the right pair. First, check the label; it should say that glasses block at least 99% of UV light. Wrap-arounds are best because they cover the whole eye and don't let sunlight sneak around the sides. Don't assume darker is better. Colored lenses such as green or yellow can be just as protective as dark ones. Polarized lenses are helpful for cutting down on glare, though they don't offer more UV protection. Whatever type you buy wear them you around, and don't be fooled by cost. Inexpensive shades can provide just as much protection as pricy ones. Of course, they may not make you look as cool.
