Hi, I am Irene and today I am going to talk to you about two different varieties of reel mowers, the Scotts classic and the Sunlawn LMM. Both are great machines and the points that I want to hit with you today are you put them together, how you use them, and a few of comparison to help you decide which might be better for you and your lawn.
First of all, how do you put them together? When you order one of these and get it in the mail, it comes basically in two different parts. You got the main miller part on either case or then all the part will go with the handles. And the only thing that you really have to do to get it together is to assemble the handle and put the handle onto the machine. And either case it takes about 15 minutes. It does not require any special tools. It is very easy for anybody to achieve.
The second point I wanted to talk about is how you use one of these mowers. Again, like putting it together, it is quite simple. You take it out on your lawn, push them along in a steady pace and as long as your lawn does not have big weeds or big tweeds in the way, you are going to find that it is not very difficult them.
I repeat that the comparison, if you are looking or wondering how hard it is to push, it is basically equivalent to pushing a gasoline mower that is not self-propelled. So it is not as hard as many people would lead you to believe.
The third point I would like to talk to you about is the comparison of some of the attributes of these to help you decide which might be better for your lawn. In my own particular case, I have really thick Saint Augustine turf grass and I find that the Scotts with its higher range of possibilities for how long I make my grass and also it is wider width makes it a little bit easier for me to maneuver and a little bit easier for me to push.
The Sunlawn over here, I find that it does a little bit more precise job with cutting the grass blades. And I think that is because as you push it along, the blades actually move a little bit quicker than the Scotts classic do. I would want it more precise job, it is more difficult to push through my grass, so I would recommend if you have finer type of turf grasses of Saint Augustine. But over all, in terms of buying a reel mower, you cannot go wrong with either one of these, the Scotts classic or the Sunlawn LMM.
