All of the techniques you see in this DVD need to be practiced until you are comfortable with forming them effectively. Remember that attacks in reality are crude and startling. So in order for you to be able to practice the techniques under pressure try this exercise.
Working with a partner, decide on a set of three or four attacks to work on. Take turns in being the victim and closing your eyes. Acting as the attacker, let the victim wait for a few seconds after closing their eyes to allow the tension to build. Then attack with controlled aggression using one of the set attacking techniques.
As the victim feels the attack in place and hears a shout they must open their eyes and deal with the attacker. Remember to put the attack on with controlled aggression with shouting at and disorienting the victim will always help to create extra pressure.
Now you have watched and hopefully learnt all of the techniques shown, remember to keep repetitively watching and keep practicing. The best way to do is this is under the guidance of an approved BFFA instructor, but without a doubt the best form of self-defense is to not get involved and to be somewhere else.
