Hey! Thanks for stopping by. I am Chef Billy Parisi and you're really watching www.fixmyrecipe.com. Our next fix goes to William who submitted recipe for sweet bread with raisins needs a quick fix. Don't worry William we've got your fix coming right up.
William, I'm not quite sure where you're going wrong. Probably, in your procedures. So here is a full-proof recipe. The first thing we need to do is add this active dry yeast into some warm water. Beat this egg and simply pour in our raisins, sugar, brandy, our olive oil, and enough flour to make a perfect soft dough. Don't forget to add a little orange zest. William, this dough came together very easily. Now on a very well floured surface, we're going to go ahead and knead this dough for about 15 minutes.
Once our dough is kneaded we're simply going to roll it into a nice long thick rope connected at ends and we're going to take slices around the outside. We're going on a cookie sheet pan with little parchment paper and some non-stick spray. We're going to cover it with plastic wrap, let it rest for about 40 to 50 minutes before throwing in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
Oh man! It looks awesome, kind of like ridiculously large blob. We're going to let this cool on a cooling rack and we're simply going to brush it with a little simple syrup, really easy to make. Two cup sugar to one cup water, bring it to it boil and boom you are done.
William, so tasty and so simply, you saw how easy this came together. Try using a little bit of that brandy; it really kicks the flavor up a notch. William, once again thank you so much for writing in. I've actually never made this. This was the first time and it's very, very tasty. I can see why you wanted it to be fixed. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see our new featured fix of the day.
