Switcheasy ThumbTacks Micro - Product Review Hey guys, what’s up? I got a review for you guys today on a new accessory for the iPod Touch 2G and for the iPod Nano 4G and not the normal set as you guys see here. I do not know if you guys can quite tell what is going to be. This is a review on a microphone. It is called the ThumbTack microphone from SwitchEasy. It is a micro-microphone and it completely lives up to its name. You guys might not be able to tell from right here. I am sure some of you guys can see it. This is our microphone just as simple as that. That is the microphone that we’re going to be reviewing. One of the tiniest yet one of the best quality microphones that I have seen so far and used that on the market, it is called once again the ThumbTacks micro-microphone from SwitchEasy. Surprisingly guys this thing is like $13.00. Usually microphones or like an iPod Touch or something like that are like 20 or 30 maybe 40 bucks if you really want to nice expensive one for no reason or whatsoever. This thing delivers the exact same quality. It gives great quality and sound from closer distances. It can offer medium distances but once I actually tested it, it should about 10 feet away. You can sill hear the sound pretty nice and easily but it’s really not going to give you the clearest quality sound. It’s definitely not going to be loud enough for you to able to hear especially if you are even in a quiet room. You still not going to be able to hear it 100% but you’ll still be able to at least tell what the people are saying from 10 feet away. So, this is definitely actually an above-average microphone. I wanted to say it was just basic and it really is. It is outrageously easy setup. It’s just plug-and-play into my iPod accessory. I had headphone jack. I am done. Now I can go use it. That is all you needed to do. You actually need to plug it in. You do not need to get it set up or anything like that. I am now ready to use my ThumbTacks SwitchEasy micro-microphone, very simple just as easy as that. The same way just unplug it and there you go you’re done. You do not need to exit out anything. You do not need to close a program. You are done. That is all you got to do. I’ll show you guys a size compares it one more time because that definitely one of the coolest things about this accessory is how small it is. There you go, that is next to a normal phone especially about it and it just a little bit bigger. Guys, this microphone comes in three different colors. I obviously got the black model. There is a red model and there is a white model. You can get any one. They are all the exact same price. Their ranking is going to be different as the actual capsule that’s encasing the microphone inside and it’s pretty tough to actually see right here guys but if you can there's three small slits right at the top of this microphone, sort of if you can see right there with the white reflecting on it. There we go right there. There's three small slits and that’s actually where the sound is going to travel through into the microphone and actually capture the sound, very simple just as easy as that guys. Pretty easy to use, it’s just plug in like I showed you and I will show you a very quick little demo of it. So I downloaded an application for free auction. I will show you this right now. It is called quick voice and it already knows that in there so it also records from about two feet away. I record a message. Stop it. I’ll turn my iPod Touch volume all the way up then you got to unplug it kind of a downside but I mean you notice that there's a microphone accessory in here so it might be a headphone jack as well but anyway go and click play. So you will see you guys might be able to hear that but the only the problem is that it’s not that great for actually being far medium range quality or anything like that. What you are trying to use this for is pretty much the closer quality, apps that I have noticed that work perfect with this accessory are the Skype App. The map and then also if you guys have seen fring out there in the App Store that’s also a pretty good one that works with us too but Zushen [ph]picks it up even if I noticed when I was about 10 feet away. It will still notice or still be able to pick it up perfectly. So you can be 10-15 feet away from the sound source and it will be still able to tag the song perfectly. The Skype application usually use in Skype from a pretty close distance away and it still easy to use it or it still very convenient and still can pick it up perfectly. So guys this picks up tremendous sounds. I’ll actually show one more and I would do quick voice and I will put this up to my head just like a phone call. So hold on a second. Phone call test number one and now you guys have to listen to it. So as you guys see that’s fantastic quality especially for such a little microphone. It is micro-microphone that completely lives up to its name. It is basically the size of a ThumbTack. Obviously it has the same shape and size one but guys the only thing that I've really noticed the problem with is that it obviously doesn’t pick up sound from too far away but then again not many microphones do so. If you want to go out and get a microphone, if I'm going to be at the exact same quality of microphones nowadays and this one 13 bucks to go and pick up or you can go out and spend 40 bucks and you really won’t get any difference. This has fantastic quality especially for just a tiny device. Guys, that’s pretty much the entire review I'm going to do for this one more time. It is called the ThumbTacks micro-microphone from SwitchEasy. That is all I can really review. What I am going to say guys this is definitely two big thumbs up for me. I love this accessory. I've gone through it. This is my fourth microphone that I've used on my iPod Touch accessory or my iPod touch device. This is the fourth megaphone that I have used. It is the tiniest, the most convenient to use, definitely the cheapest and it definitely is up there for quality. I have not found any to beat it. My other microphones do have pretty good quality but guys this is not lacking at anything. I would definitely recommend to go out and pick this up.
