So you wake up one morning and you feel pain in your breast. Or you have noticed that both breasts seem kind of sore lately, maybe you have a burning sensation that comes and goes or there's some clear fluid oozing from one of your nipples, or perhaps, you feel a lump, just a small one, but definitely something that wasn't there before, and your heart sinks.
Should you call the doctor? Could it be breast cancer? Thankfully, probably not. Pain, soreness, itching, nipple discharge, all of these breast-cancer complaints are fairly common, but mostly they don't signal cancer. Even in lumps, that are suspicious enough to inquire a biopsy are benign about 85% of the time.
