I am 59years old I have been going through this sickness for over 5 to 6 years now. It is with my nose ears head throat I have been seeing a lot of E/N/T specialist all this time not getting any relief at all, it is mostly to my left side. I have had 3 surgeries to my nose every time its as if it may open up my nose just alittle, but still nothing is helping the fullness in my ear the back of my throat and my head. I hear at times a humming nose in my left ear and popping, all the specialist I have been to tell me its not my ear or nose but my jaw, I feel as if its a block somewhere along my ear and jaw, it have a lot of congestion I cant blow my nose and havent for over 5years. I have this pain to my leftside and sometimes it feels as if something is moving in there. Please help me.

I keep getting bumps behind my ears along with ear infections.What causes these bumps and type of ear infections and how do I treat them

Corey: Hi! I'm Corey from New Lebanon. I was just wondering to know what the symptoms of ear infection are. Dr. John May: Corey, an ear infection can present in several different ways. Infections in general present with pain, however early on, in the ear, it may present as a decrease in hearing due to the fluid build up in the middle ear space. Now, a swimmer's ear type infection is an infection of the skin of the ear canal which is very different from the typical Otitis Media or middle ear infection and this is due to irritation or infection in the skin itself and this can be accompanied again by some hearing loss due to swelling as well as very painful situation with movement of the outer ear or manipulation of the ear canal.
