Symptoms of Stroke

Female: Strokes are the third biggest killers in the United States today, learning the warning signs of a stroke is crucial and could just save a life.

Male: If stroke occurs when there is an interruption of blood flow to the brain this cause the death of brain cells and result some brain damage. In America 700,000 strokes occur annually. The symptoms of a stroke depend on the type of stroke and what area of the brain is affected. As early as 400BC the Greek philosopher Hippocrates describe the stroke phenomena a sudden paralysis uses a term Upper plexi from the Greek word meaning struck down with violence. Hippocrates had the right idea, one of the most common signs of a stroke is said numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg especially on one side of the body.

People who are having a strike can also experience trouble moving deal to dizziness, loss of balance or loss of coordination. Stroke victims may experience trouble speaking or understanding, sudden confusion is also common. Other possible indicators of a stroke include sudden difficulty sing, and a sudden severe headache of unknown cause. Experiencing any of this symptoms maybe an indication of a stroke however this science can also point to the Transient Ischemic Attack or TIA

TIA is a many strokes being like a regular ischemic or blood clots stroke. A blood vessel to the brain becomes blocks or leaks holding the flow of oxygen and nutrients. The difference between TIA than full blown stroke however is that TIA is a reversible through normal body repair mechanisms even though TIA disappear in their own. They are an indicator that a major stroke could occur. It is important to receive immediate treatment for TIA because more of a certain people with this condition have a full blown stroke soon after.

If you think someone around you maybe having a stroke act FAST or fast and do this many test, face ask the person to smile and note if one side of their face droops, arms ask the person to raise both arms and see if either arm just downward, speech ask the person to repeat the sentence and listen carefully to the word are they slurred are they correct. Time of these symptoms raised high in stroke. Get the person to a hospital quickly it is important to remember that both TIA’s and strokes are emergencies. The longer the treatment that was held the more brain cells will die.

Knowing the symptoms of the stroke is to follow the step you can take to avoid the severe damage your death they can result from the condition. Talk to your Doctor if you have any concerns about stroke.
