This is the T- Mobile MDA running on Windows Mobile 5.0 as you can see; it’s very similar to some other models of PDA phones. One thing that is unique about this one is the slide out keyboard right here. That’s nice thing to place. Also the device as you can see is, it is smaller than most other PDA phones but fits very nicely into your hand. No problems there.
Once again let’s slide out the keyboard and you can see full QWERTY keyboard, all letters and numbers are in here. It can pretty much do anything that you’ll need on a keyboard. Right here, you have the direction keys, soft keys right here, you have the navigational tiles right here, Shortcut keys for Internet Explorer and Messaging on top. The memory card slot is right here on top, the power button, charging and syncing port, head set and right here you have the little stylus.
Here we go, it is an extendable stylus so it can fold in and fold out. This is done mostly to save space on the MDA. Pretty comfortable otherwise you have a 1.3 megapixel camera on the back with a light and a mirror for self portraits, volume key on the side, the communication button, camera key, pretty much feel like you’re taking a picture with a real camera and you have a voice dialing key.
Now all of these keys can be reassigned to other functions so, you can do that later on depending on your taste. Here we go. Very nice design overall, a really good one for MDA for T-Mobile.
We are going to look at some of the features of the operating system of the MDA. Right here we have a familiar start button that is the same as your desktop to gain you access to the most often and used items. We have our different whole bunch of programs separated from your folder and right here you have on your, as far as the application in driving your device will be on here. You can also assign these applications for the different hardware buttons.
You have a calendar on the right here and it’s very similar to your outlook calendar. You can get it and use for that. Just like that.
We have the contacts on the other side right here. Different contacts and right here from the contacts menu you can call somebody if you want. And we just start display the phone as well and this is how you dial numbers. Also we have the messaging right here, actually any messaging client that supports the three major kinds of messaging, AOL, Yahoo and ICQ. We also have a pocket MSN which will support MSN messenger.
As far as the emails and text messages are concerned, it’s only handled by a program called messaging which is basically a pocket word and outlook and from here you can use just different text messages outlook emails with our email set upped for, we only have five mail set upped. And MMS is basically your multimedia message, picture, video, sounds like that. Then going to different cell phones up in yours.
To send a new message, just go in here. Here you can select out one of your contacts just to put it in our email address and just start typing. For that function actually one good thing is you can use the QWERTY keyboard and the screen will automatically rotate around so that it won’t come a little bit harder to larger keyboard and you don’t have to rotate it by each letter you type in and a let me take a look at the Internet browsing as well right here. And now I have Google from somebody else. And that is pretty much as fast as it takes on a WiFi connection. We have now the site www.phonearena.com web site opened it talks a little bit. Pocket PC’s are generally slower than your desktop computers. And that thing you always look back.
And that’s about it that’s all the features of the MDA Windows Mobile.
