Today we will be looking at T-Mobile’s newest smart phone, the T-Mobile wing which is a replacement to T-Mobile MDA.
As with most smart phones, the T-Mobile Wing is supplied with a full QWERTY keyboard which is accessed by sliding the keyboard to the right. The Wing has a dark blue soft touch finished which feels very nice in hand and gives plenty of grips.
At the front you have the call and end button, the left and right soft touch button, the Start and the OK button and the D-pad. Just above the screen you have the speaker with 2 indicative LED's. On the left you have the camera shortcut, a volume rocker and the micro SD slot.
Although nice and more of a slider, it tends to be very difficult to move. Along the right side, you have the voice activation short cut and you also have the messaging short cut at the very top, in the power button. On the back you have the hands free speaker and the 2 mega pixel camera.
The Wing is supplied with Windows Mobile version 6, since there are so many features, we will not be able to discuss all of them in this video review. Unlike the iPhone and similar models, the Wing’s touched screen is access with the stylus.
In using the stylus along, it connects all of the features that are included with the Wing. Due to the 200 megahertz processor provided with the Wing, the interface does tend to react very slowly to some commands, the more programs that on the phone, the slower the phone will react.
The Wing is supplied with a 2 mega pixel camera, with lens but without reflector. The interface for the camera loads up very quickly and takes pictures very rapidly. However though, some of the pictures do tend to have to become a little blurry.
The browser on the Wing is the standard Internet Explorer; you can use either the Edge network or any Wi-Fi network close to you to access internet.
While the Wing does not bring anything new or extraordinary to the Pocket PC market, what it does, it does well.
For anyone looking for a good business phone, or for a wonderful texting phone, the Wing satisfies this category very well.
