Tailgating Primer
Guy Fieri: All right are you ready. You know what time it is? It’s time for some Tailgate 101. Gary you going to come in put the three burner right here. Dirty I want it hot, hot, hot. Big barbecue setting here lighted up you got it burning. All these will get done because it’s tailgate time. Are you ready?
Males: Ready.
Guy Fieri: This is a mass stand. You got to bring yourself some sauté burners out an event. What we got here is some pre broker burners and the great thing about it is to take you’re able to keep that sausage and you might want to know a little sauté into tailgate who knows.
So let’s talk about the barbecue. You got to love use on this. You k now what they break down really nice so we got to put them on the back end and pick up trunky can, let him cool down when you’re at the game can’t be having this. Now what’s so great about it is you can go hot and fast to do your burgers and your dogs, we go lower and slow and put on some pork batters on it. But here is the key, do a lit coal right. So the chimney, this right here is the must have and you only want to have to use that lighter foot it will woke it up from today.
We do a paper part from the bottom of it and that’s with the three and you light it. Flip it over get, here are some nice and big one charcoal. Here I think is needed. Best burn. Light this charcoal and you can see right to this view holds here which is nice and red hot so just a few more minutes then we’ll turn it over and then about five to ten minutes to 11 kind of mellow up so you get nice even consistent heat and that’s looking good.
When it comes to Tailgating food easier is better. You seal the plastic bags, these bags can work for the marinating for the trans boarding and a little bit of clean up but you know what when it comes to clean. I always recommend bring a whole box of trash bags you can never have enough and you never would have live apart a lot dirty and this right here and this is the tailgating best friend , it’s aluminum foil, you can wrap and just cook in this out of this ten this is the fixed off.
When it comes to food tailgating one of this got to remember is to keep that food below 40 degrees. Then here’s a great idea take some regular water bottles and empty a little of water items. Freeze them and then when you’re ready to go tailgating pop up it with the food. Really that will keep that temperature low.
Now when the food is gone and the bottle starts to pile up well you got water and you need to go. Some of this you remember you’re tailgating had kept the hot food, hot in the cold food cold. So you make all the barbecue you’re not ready for to starting in. How do you hold on and keeping hot. You put it on the grill, continue to overcook but when you get on of these coolers that have a seal of a lead you can pop the hot food in there and maybe fill towel on top, lock it down, it was meant to keep food cold and it will keep food hot.
So what are the things you need when you’re doing a tailgating? You need some good tables. Now this pull up tables work great when you do with service but when you’re trying to go prep you’re a little low and they kind of hard on the back. Here’s some great way to waste that table at 12 inches.
That little PVC pipe 1 ½ inches that is bad boys in half pop it right up underneath here. Hit a couple of cutting boards on here and this is when we start to prep. All we need now is to get ready for the pre game. So to do that we’re going to set up a side light dish. Now who do I bring in, well the authority himself dirty P how do we do it.
Get a receiver, need a sunlight dish, punch in the zip code and state them that you’re at and remove the dish right and left until the signal comes into play.
Guy Fieri: We’re all set ready to rock. Off course when we say pre game what do we mean? Dinosaurs drive in and dive, here’s a real important thing about tailgating. Keeping things safe and sanitary. Now we got a lot of different cooking surfaces and we’re outdoors. Where is the hand wash facility? I’ll tell you this some of this disinfecting life for go along way. Clean up the tables, clean up the chairs, wipe down your hands and one of the great things to have with you is also some sanitizing solution. We have two ½ gallons of water here the Clyde’s is going to add 1 tablespoon of bleach the one gallon of water. Here’s a real key thing that’s right on here, sanitizer. You don’t want people come back in a couple of that.
Now before we start cooking we got to know a little tailgate festivities, we like to come out my toes. We have 14x 2x4. We’re going to stock them on top of each other and the game is remove the 2x4 and tell someone naps it over and then it really is.
You’re going to take that one. It’s going down, it’s coming down. One hand. It’s time to start cooking. Just remember this if you want to have a great tailgate it starts with a game plan take it easy.
